The master bathroom was one of our big projects, and the first that we brought contractors in to do. As you may remember, the bathroom floor was carpeted… yuck. So the carpet was removed and tile put down, walls painted, new countertop put in with new faucets, new mirrors put up and new light installed. We’re also getting plantation shutters for the bathroom window, but they on’t be done for another couple weeks.
The wall colors are Cobblestone by Martha Stewart and Smoky Plum by Behr. We got most fixtures at Home Depot, but the faucets came from Overstock.com. We really wanted the cross handled kind and opted for a modern twist on this classic design.
The floor is a Limestone from Malaysia and has interesting fossils and shells in it. The countertop is a honed Torreon travertine and I think is a great (and cheaper) alternative to granite. The soft look of both stones makes the bathroom really look like a spa.
